Bomber

“We ran out of ammunition one time…we resorted to dumping our backpacks. I think we gave the enemy a nasty bruise.” – Captain Carl

What can really be said about bombers? They’re bombers. They bomb.

Trouble off the port bow!

Well, at least you can use different types of Bombs.

Time to drop anchor!

Now with torpedos!

Ow.

You’ll still use up your ammo, though…

Okay, I like almost everything, but this sounds… , wacky. Like, even torpedo’s as ammo shouldn’t work this way on subs. Then again this IS aw, but still..

Err…why would bombers have torpedos? Shouldn’t it just be bombs either way?

Also, I don’t know if you thought of this, but what if subs automatically rose when attacking? Technically in real life a dived sub must come up to attack, so you could allow subs to dive but would rise for an attack.

It’s mostly fluff. Codewise they’re just bombs. Fluff is just fun! 😉

And yeah, I could potentially do that…but it would possibly be icky gameplay wise. And would greatly diminish the value of a Sub as you couldn’t snipe unaware transports very easily.

Ooh! This gives me a chance to use a random bit of trivia!

At Pearl Harbor, the Japanese were able to do something that had puzzled the Americans, by having Bombers drop Torpedos. They tried and tried, and eventually found out how after the battle.

    How?

They taped some Plywood to the bombs before they dropped them 😀
